Lumivert Labs builds learning tools for kids, parents and adults who don’t always fit the traditional classroom. Our first product, SumPup, teaches kindergarten to 2nd grade math through practice built on Common Core principles.

WHY WE STARTED

FOUNDER & CEO, LUMIVERT LABSMy wife and I started Lumivert Labs with a goal of helping children like our son. When he went to kindergarten, it was one of our toughest years as a family. Our son is bright, but he had a really difficult time with traditional teaching and methods of instruction.
That experience led us to think outside the box about how we could build learning tools for kids that also give some relief to parents who may be in the middle of the same kind of difficult year we had.
THE NAME
LUMI means light.VERT means green.
A steady base and one bright light. It’s how we think about the work: careful, dependable software with a spark of something kids want to come back to.
